MISS NORTH CENTRAL ALABAMA COVERED BRIDGE PAGEANT

OCT. 3, 2020

Special Princess Division

Most girls dream of being in a pageant at least once. Some dream of being Miss America. The whole process of paying the entry fee, finding a dress and being able to walk on stage in front of judges is sometimes just too much for a girl with special needs. The judges look for poise and perfection, how they walk and carry themselves on stage. This may be difficult for some. They may not be able to walk, follow the typical walk pattern on stage or even the ability to see the X marks. Some may not be able to make eye contact with the judges. Miss North Central wants every little girl to young lady, no matter their ability or disability, to feel like the queen they are.

The Special Princess Division is FREE.

PAGEANT TIPS!

Photo entries for Miss North Central Alabama

must be 5x7.

Other sizes will not be judged. Size requirement based on prize.

Judges will be looking for head shots with good eye contact.

Full body shots are not recommended.

Preferably no hands around the face.

Here are a few suggested poses.

This is just a suggested walking pattern.

Judges will not deduct points on walk variations.

Other suggestions:

If the hem dress is too short for heels, please, wear flats. Do not go barefooted.
Diaper covers help make the overall appearance of the attire look more complete.
Encourage your contestant to not hold on to her dress as she walks.
Make eye contact with the judges and smile!
REMEMBER TO HAVE FUN!
